General Board of Assistants Meeting 2019
The Colorado Society is hosting the meeting of the General Board of Assistants, which will convene at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the Grand Hyatt, 1750 Welton Street, Denver, Colorado. Colorado will welcome members and General Society officers at a welcome reception with appetizers and a cash bar on Friday evening. A cocktail reception and banquet will be held on Saturday evening at the Denver Country Club, one of America’s oldest and most exclusive private clubs. The Colorado Society encourages all GBOA attendees and their guests to join them for business meetings, training, tours and socializing.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and reconnect with Mayflower family and to be involved in the business and decision-making of our great Society. All General Society officers are urged to attend. If the elected or nominated Deputy Governor General (DGG) or Assistant General (AG) of your Society is unable to attend, your Society board may authorize “Acting” Officers for this meeting only. If this is the case within your Society, your Secretary must forward the names of the Acting Officers to the Secretary General one month prior to the meeting. Acting Officers will not be seated without this authorization. Registered Mayflower Society members or family are welcome to attend the meeting as silent observers and to participate in tours.
The Colorado Society has planned some wonderful tours and events! Explore the best that Denver has to offer from the 16th Street Mall designed by famed architect I.M. Pei, the vibrant entertainment districts to all of the attractions that make the Mile-High City remarkable. Activities unique to Colorado have been planned for Thursday through Saturday. Many opportunities exist for spouses and guests who would like to sightsee.
Please make your reservation online or mail your reservation, including your check by July 21, 2019 to avoid a late registration fee (subject to availability). Please note that if you are an officer attending the GBOA meeting on Saturday, do not book a tour that day. However, it is advisable that GBOA officers book the luncheon since time will be limited before the afternoon session resumes.
Registration opens on March 1, 2019:
